My world is known as the Dark universe. It is a parallel universe to the Canon universe and has altered events. Black Rose is the god of my world. She is also a representation of me, however I try not to insert myself too heavily into my world. Black Rose is not the main character, she's the narrator, the story teller. The story is not about her. The reason she is female when I am not is just because I like the female inkling more. Everything in the world is influenced by Black Rose in some way.

Locations

Inkopolis:

The main setting for most of the stories. The city in-game is never explored outside the main hub and some Turf War locations so many location within the city are made up for my world.

The Underground:

A general term for most underground locations.

Octo Valley (Pre-Splatoon 1):

Octo Valley was the main home of the octolings before the events of the first game. It it mostly portrayed as underground bunkers, tunnels and cities.

The Abyss:

Octo Valley after the events of Splatoon 1. After the defeat of DJ Octavio, Octo Valley was damaged and losing power. Soon after, an event known as the Collapse happened, causing Octo Valley to fall apart and become uninhabitable... Or is it?

Octo Canyon:

The secondary home of the Octolings. Those who survived the Collapse either fled here or took their chances in Inkopolis.

The Pit:

A mostly unexplored area underneath Octo Valley. Here there be monsters.

Neo-Inkopolis:

Inkopolis in the future. By this point the Inkling and octoling societies have merged and a technological boom occurred leading to things like cybernetics, robots, synths and many other things.

The outskirts:

The area surrounding the city. It includes a large forest, ocean and canyons.

The Deepsea Metro:

The setting for Eight Below. The Deepsea Metro is just as it's name implies. A subway system somewhere far under the ocean with no clear way in or out. Only by passing many tests does the answer become clear.

The Void:

The space between dimensions where souls go to when their bodies die. Souls respawn as demons and are taken to the Underworld. The only known inheritance are known as Void Walkers and will eat any wayward souls they come across.

The Underworld:

The land of the dead. The Underworlds appearance can differ drastically depending on where it is. Demons inhabit the Underworld and can differ just as drastically as the land itself.

The World of Light:

The realm of angels. A world of white and light magic. Angels have a militaristic society and are always preparing to battle with demons. Angels are very picky about who they let in so most characters who die do not end up here.

The Timeline:

Succubus Tales: (ongoing)

Shortly before the start of the Great Turf War, Kelyn spawns in the Void and is taken to the Underworld. The events of Succubus Tales tell the story of how Kelyn begins as an inexperienced waitress at an inn and eventually becomes the Succubus Queen. During the course of the story, Kelyn makes a name for herself by taking on a demon mafia. She catches the attention of another succubus named Leila. The two ending up becoming good friends, however Leila's ambition is much higher then Kelyns. Without spoilers, eventually Kelyn becomes the Succubus Queen and Leila's fate is yet to be reviled. Afterward Kelyn meets the Fire Demon Dezmen, with whom she falls in love and has a daughter named Devina.

Demon Tales:

Demon Tales is the story of Devina and 5 others known as the Demon Lord Candidates. The previous demon lord has been missing for quite some time. The reason for which has never fully been explained and kept ambiguous, however the power vacuum is becoming unstable. If a new demon lord is not chosen soon, the Darkness will break out of its bonds and cause wise spread chaos. The Demon Lord is the only one able to control the Darkness and 6 candidates have been chosen to take the throne. Devina, the Fire Elemental Succubus, Aerol, the Fallen Angel, Aqua, the Water Dragon, Treena, the Dryad, Cold Heart the Ice Wraith and Black Shadow, the Shadow Wraith. They must fight among themselves in what is known as the Candidate War to decide which will become the new Demon Lord as there can be only one.

However the Candidate War takes too long to decide a winner and the Darkness breaks free. But instead of causing chaos, the Darkness condenses and creates it's own host, Black Rose. While Devina technically won the Candidate War, Black Rose quickly displays her power and dominates Devina, forcing her to submit to her. Black Rose then rightfully takes the title of Dark Lord and rules over all others.

Between Demon Tales and Splatoon 1:

After losing the Great Turf War, the Octarians retreated to the Underground to live in exile for the next 100 years or so. During this time the Octoling King, Octavio, order his soldiers to recon the surface and capture any inklings found too close to the entrances to the Underground. These captured inklings would be interrogated and, more often then not, executed to prevent any word from reaching the Inklings of the surface.

Do to the lack of males among the Octolings, it became commonplace for same sex female couples to appear, while males were given the high duty of repopulating with as many females as possible. For a time the system worked, however this also caused many young octolings to be related to each other in one way or another.

Kelyn gives birth to another daughter, Siren.

One day about 20 or so years before the events of Splatoon 1, an inkling girl was captured and taken to the Underground. Octavio took a liking to this girl and forced himself upon her causing her to become pregnant. She would later give birth to a half-breed inktoling girl named Labrys. Labrys' mother escaped shortly after giving birth, leaving her behind. She was later found having frozen to death within the tunnels of the Underground. Octavio, knowing that if word got out that he had had a half-breed daughter with an inkling his people would become angry with him, ordered an octoling woman who already had a daughter to take her in and keep her secret. This woman's daughter was named Eve and while growing up, Eve viewed Labrys as her little sister and Labrys saw Eve as a sister as well.

As Labrys and Eve grew into an adults, they joined the military like most other octolings and quickly earned the rank of Elite. As Labrys rose in rank, she began to display a similar personality to her father. Becoming cruel and demeaning to her troops. That is until she lead a patrol to around the Pit where she was caught and violated by a creature living in the Pit which had many tentacles. Labrys' suffered a form of PTSD after this incident which caused her to become hyper-sexual and her personality to flip from cruel to incredibly friendly. Labrys continues to return to the Pit on occasion to visit the creatures within, with whom she has become very friendly.

Around the same time Labrys was born, Octavio's first granddaughter, Lilith was also born. Soon after this, Lilith's younger sister Lavanna was born. Lilith and Lavanna were raised as the Octoling princesses and had great relationships with each other. As they became adults the two joined the military and both easily obtained Elite status. In addition to their high ranks, they also preformed as idols for the other octolings. They became well loved by their people. Labrys, unaware of her relation to the princesses, began developing a crush on Lilith and would later start a relationship with her.

Lumia, Octavio's personal guard, was aware of Labrys' true origin and did not approve of her dating Princess Lilith. However due to her being ordered to never speak of the truth, she was forced to remain silent. At the same time, Lumia also accompanied Octavio during the interrogations of the captured inklings. Lumia was trusted with many of Octavio's secrets and believed herself to be invaluable. However there were some secrets that Octavio kept even from her...

A new pair of military goggles are distributed to the soldiers. Lavanna begins to notice strange changes to those around her, especially in her sister. Lilith begins to act far more aggressive then she used to be and has become obsessed with Octavio. Talk of war with the Inklings begins to rise. The events of Splatoon 1 begin and are referred to as the Uprising.

Lumia Chronicles: (Flashback scenes only)

During an interrogation of a captured inkling boy named Char, Octavio decides to reward his trusted guard Lumia with the privilege of deciding the inklings fate. Lumia, not used to dealing with males other then Octavio, is easily flustered by Chars flirting. She quickly falls in love with the boy and knowing his fate would be death otherwise, orders for him to become her new servant. Lumia's new positive attitude from sharing a bed with her new lover is noticed by the other octolings, including Lilith and Labrys, who congratulate her for finally finding someone.

Octavio, in an as of yet unrevealed way, provides his head scientist, Saffron, with strange computer chips to be placed inside new standard issue military goggles. Ignoring the concerns of Saffron, Octavio orders Lumia to test the new goggles. Lumia mentions that they feel good when being used and also gives a pair to Char. Unknown to her, the goggles have sealed her fate...

The duel between Octavio and Agent 3 ends in Octavio being defeated and the beginning of the Collapse. Char, managing to convince Lumia to escape with him flees with her in an attempt to leave. Char unfortunately is killed by an explosion during the escape and Lumia is buried by falling debris. Calling out for Princess Lilith to save her, Lilith ignores her and leaves her for dead. Hidden radioactive waste barrels fall on Lumia and burst open, blinding and mutating her...

Lumia awakens in the Abyss, alone, blind and unaware of what has happened to her. Distressed she hears the footsteps of surviving octarians approach her. However her new condition is to much for her and she breaks down. She then wanders the Abyss for the next 2 years...

Between Lumia Chronicles and Splatoon 2:

After the Uprising failed, many octolings fled from the Underground. Liliths obsession with Octavio has worsened upon seeing his defeat by an inkling. She takes control of the Octarian forces and begins calling for all out war with the inklings. Lavanna, fearing what has happened to her sister tries to calm her and suggests instead that octolings attempt to peacefully co-exist with inklings. Lilith brands Lavanna as a traitor, forcing her to flee from the Underground.

Lilith grows increasingly paranoid. Labrys questions Liliths actions. Lilith brands Labrys as a traitor and attempts to kill her. Labrys is forced to escape with the help of Eve. Eve knowing that she would be caught also escapes. Lilith names Velvet as her new second in command. Lilith's paranoia and obsession worsen, leading to insanity. Lilith begins ordering her troops to scout the surface in search of the traitors, believing that her plans can't go forward while they are alive.

Labrys:

Labrys makes her way to the city. Being an inktoling she is easily able to blend in with the native inklings. Using the skills she learned in the Octarian Military, Labrys begins working as a mercenary for hire. At the same time she also begins work as a model and adult film star. She quickly gains popularity among the inhabitants of Inkopolis.

One day while sunbathing on the beach, Labrys is kidnapped by Salmonlings and brought back to their hidden lair. While there she assists the Salmonlings with their breeding ritual and is able to befriend the Salmonling queen, Goldie. Labrys still assists the Salmonlings when needed afterward.

She continues her activities for quite some time. Making appearances in several adult magazines and movies. She takes many lovers but never starts a full relationship as she doesn't find one she considers as special as Lilith was. Despite having company quite often, Labrys finds herself lonely and misses the old days. While on mercenary work however, Labrys becomes more serious and doesn't let her hyper-sexuality get in the way of her job.

Lavanna:

After being driven out of the Underground by Lilith and her troops, Lavanna finds herself on a garbage scow heading for Inkopolis. While on board the ship she finds a mostly intact electric guitar and takes it with her. Knowing that if anyone who knew her saw her she would be recognized, she changes her hair color from elite black to standard red hoping that she can pass as a nameless grunt. However she continues to wear her armor out of habit.

With no where else to go she wanders the streets of inkopolis not knowing what to do. She is soon confronted by a group of inkling boys who don't like octolings. Not wanting to draw attention to herself she tries to defuse the situation without violence. Luckily nearby another group of inklings see what is happening and drive off the first group. This new group was made up by 2 inkling boys and 2 girls. They introduce themselves as Cobalt, Viriti, Citcho and Marinea. The group explains that they use nicknames based off their color with each other. That being Blue, Green, Orange an Teal.

The group see Lavanna in need of a home and invite her to stay with them and become part of the group, giving her the nickname Octo. They later mention that they are thinking about starting a band upon seeing Octo's guitar. This band would later be named the Splat Crew. Octo then spends the next two years without much incident with the Crew. Octo becomes fiercely loyal to her new group which she comes to consider her family.

Eve Chronicles:

Eve quietly escapes the Underground before her betrayal is noticed. Taking with her a UFO and enough survival supplies to last a few days or so. She heads into the forest outside of Inkopolis to hide. She abandons her goggles in a pond fearing they may have a tracker. To afraid to go to the city, Eve makes camp in the forest. After some time she finds an abandoned factory and is able to fix it up into a proper hideout. With the growing lack of food, she realizes she has no choice but to head to the city.

Thinking the city was abandoned at first, Eve finds herself in the middle of a Splatfest. An inkling girl quickly notices Eve standing out due to her armor and starts speaking to her. The girl explains to Eve what a Splatfest is and encourages her to join in on the fun. Eve's elite skills allow her to easily defeat her opponents. After the Splatfest the inkling girl from before asks for Eve's phone number. However Eve doesn't have a phone and can't give it to her. Suggesting they met again sometime the girl leaves. Eve begins to wonder if everything she's heard about inklings was a lie.

Over time Eve continues to participate in Turn Wars, earning a living and buying the things she needs. However she begins to notice changes in the city. Less people come to Inkopolis Plaza and more octolings being to appear. She catches the attention of an inkling boy named Mercer who invites her to join him and his team on a mercenary job. Deciding to hear him out, Eve joins him. Along the way to met the team, Eve notices a familiar looking octoling eating with a group of Inklings. However she dismisses the thought soon after.

Eve meets with Mercers team and introduce themselves as Bron, Alix and Cruiser. After a brief summery of the job Eve agrees to join them. The job quickly goes bad as supernatural forces separate and eliminate the team one by one. Eve and Alix mange to achieve the jobs goal just before witnessing a strange blue skinned octoling kill Mercer. Alix sacrifices herself to save Eve. The blue skinned octoling attacks Eve after being injured by Alix. Eve is barely able to defend herself but is saved by the inkling girl from the Splatfest along with another inkling girl in ninja clothes.

Eve, having fainted from her earlier encounter, wakes up in an unfamiliar place. The inkling girl from before introduces herself as Quartie and explains that she is a Demon Hunter and that the blue skinned octoling from before was a demon known as Executioner. Quartie convinces Eve to join the Hunters.

Execution returns to her employer, a Salmonling wizard named Merimus. It is revealed that Merimus has imprisoned Executioners daughter in a crystal and is forcing her to do his bidding. After teaming up is Aerol, Executioner is able to retrieve the item that Merimus wants. However thing do not go as planned and Merimus betrays Executioner. Filled with rage, Executioner begins seeking revenge on Eve for ruining her chances.

Merimus, unbeknownst to him, is observed by an unknown entity speaking of his plan. Execution kidnaps Quartie to lure out Eve. Eve and Executioner duel with each other at the same place they first met. Eve wins the duel and Executioner kills herself. Executioners daughter remains trapped for many years. The known entity observing Merimus reveals himself to be was appears to be a robot named Crim and makes a proposition for Merimus to join him. Merimus agrees. Eve remains with the Hunters and works in secret with them.

Origin/Wrath of Lucky:

Black Rose has purged this story and it's antagonist from existence and it is no longer canon. It is currently being rewritten to better fit the timeline.

All other stories still use the events of this story as their base but are slowly being adapted to a new story.

Long story short: The Squid Sisters are kidnapped and replaced by android lookalikes. Through the Power of Music, the android Squid Sisters cause chaos and all those who hear their songs lose control over themselves. This event in known as the Mass Insanity.

The Splat Crew are able to set things right, also with the Power of Music.

Wrath of Chaos: (Ongoing)

It's been two years since the Collapse. Lavanna is currently living comfortably with the Splat Crew. Eve is still a Hunter. Labrys is still Labrys. Octo Valley has been silent for years. Lilith's condition continues to remain unstable. Octavio is currently being held by the New Squidbeak Splatoon in an undisclosed location.

Crim and Merimus begin plotting together. Both wish to take control of the surface away from it's current inhabitants. With Crim's technology and Merimus' magic they join forces to make their plans come to realization. Crim sends Merimus to the city to kidnap the Squid Sisters. Along they way, Merimus encounters Octo and hypnotizes her to become his bodyguard. With Octo's help Merimus successfully captures the Squid Sisters.

Crim is revealed to be a Sea Cucumber piloting a mech suit. Crim gives Octo a pair of the same goggles she was given years ago. Crim explains to Merimus that the goggles function as a mind control devise and that this pair has been modified. Octo is ordered to kill her friends. Thankfully they are able to save her...

Rise of Darkness/Rebirth:

Lilith is on the warpath. Octoling raiding parties are finding an executing any inklings they come across regardless of where they are. During one such raid an inkling girl by the name of Azure was captured. Lilith orders the girl to be killed. The octolings holding her, torture her first by cutting off one of her tentacles. Then finally shooting her in the head and killing her.

Through a twist of fate, this girl is revived and reborn as a Revanant. She no longer remembers who she is and can only remember what has happened to her. Filled with rage and a burning desire for revenge, the girl locates the nearby camp of the octolings who harmed her and uses the very gun that killed her to get revenge. However her anger and bloodlust is not satisfied as Lilith was not present at the camp. Unable to rest until she gets the revenge she desperately wants, the girl steals clothes from the octolings and begins to make her way back to the city.

While on route on a train to the city, the girl is approached by an inkling boy name Coral. Through Corals clumsy come-on's she takes the name Darkness. Darkness rejects Coral and threatens him. Coral however finds this to be a turn-on and despite the warnings of his friend Leaf, continues to peruse her. Darkness, not knowing where to begin her search, eventually accepts Corals offer of assistance.

At this same time, Lilith is made aware of Darkness' existence when the octoling team from before are found dead and the inkling girls body missing. Lilith is informed by Velvet that a suitable location for a hideout has been found. Lilith orders her troops to head there and prepare it for occupation. Meanwhile, no longer having a disguise to use as Darkness had taken it, Lilith reluctantly heads to the city to acquire a new one.

Coral continues to try to win Darkness' affection but fails miserably. Darkness spots Lilith in the city and chases after her but loses sight. Lilith recognizes Darkness from before as she is wearing her clothes. Lilith declares Darkness a high level threat. Lilith orders the rest of her scouts to the city, including a scout named Sky.

Darkness soon becomes exhausted and reluctantly accepts Corals offer to stay with him. During the night Darkness suffers from nightmares. Reliving the moment of her death and seeing her former self. Coral provides comfort to Darkness. Darkness begins to soften towards Coral. Until the next day when Coral leaves her in the apartment alone while he is at school. Darkness discovers Corals adult content and becomes annoyed by him yet again.

While scouting the city, Sky is noticed by Darkness. Darkness leaves her group momentarily to chase after Sky. Darkness captures and interrogates Sky but learns nothing. Sky is injured in the encounter. Darkness acquires a sword from an mysterious vender and a new phone from Coral.

Lilith learns of a new Splatfest happening in the city and decides it's the perfect time to attack. Lilith acquires the Disk Scratcher, a unique sword with the power to fire sonic sound blasts.

Sky light:

After Darkness' attack, Sky is left injured and abandoned. The same group of inklings that accosted Lavanna find her and see her as an easy target. Sky is saved by an inkling girl named Carmel who then takes her in and let's her live with her. Sky and Carmel become very close and eventually become a couple.

Later Sky's older sister Dusk, who is still under the influence of the goggles, finds Sky and attempts to kill Carmel. Sky is able to save Carmel and in the process, destroy Dusks goggles. The influence of the goggles slowly wears off of Dusk. Lilith orders Dusk to kill Sky. Dusk goes rogue and instead becomes Sky's protector.

Dark Skys:

Sky and Carmel attend the Spatfest and are spotted by Darkness. Darkness and her group confronts Sky and her group. Dusk interferes and prevents Darkness from causing more harm to Sky. Sky is able to defuse the situation and calm both sides. Lilith's forces start moving to invade but are stopped but a sudden riot. The streets are filled with chaos. The Squid Sisters are fake and everyone is fighting.

Darkness and the Splat Crew meet. Dusk recognizes Octo as Lavanna and pleads for her help. After some convincing, Darkness agrees to work with Lavanna only because of the bigger issue present.

Chaos in Inkopolis:

Before their meeting with Darkness, the Splat Crew with the help of Agent 3, reequip themselves and prepare for battle. The group work their way through the city to get to the source of the Chaos, the fake Squid Sisters. Along the way Darkness takes note of how the octolings among them care for each other and begins to rethink her methods. Upon reaching the Plaza the group discovers that the fake Squid Sisters are protected by a barrier.

In an attempt to dispel the spell the fake Squid Sisters have cast, the Splat Crew spark up their own song. The people effected by the fake Squid Sisters hear them. Together they rise and fight back. The Power of Music from the Splat Crews song brakes through and restores sanity to the city. The fake Squid Sisters are captured and a new day begins...

Lilith witnesses everything. Her attack is delayed. Lilith now knows where Lavanna is.

Chaos Aftermath:

After the Mass Insanity things are good for a while. Agent 3, who's real name is Solaris or Sol for short, allows Lavanna to speak with Octavio. Unknown to them, they are followed by one of Lilith's scouts named Seafoam. Seafoam loses sight of them. Lavanna berates Octavio for what he has done and finally rejects the armor she is wearing. Lavanna decides it's time to be her own person and changes her appearance.

Seafoam barely escapes from Darkness and finds a new hideout. An abandoned church. However this church had a secret. A hidden underground base. Seafoam moves in and claims the new area. She then leads Lilith and Velvet to ambush Lavanna and Darkness. Lavanna and Darkness only escape with the help of Dusk. Darkness is injured. Lilith acquires Darkness' DNA.

Dusk begins training Darkness in proper combat. Lilith gives Darkness' DNA to Saffron in an attempt to clone her. The DNA is incomplete and Lilith gives her own to complete it. And inktoling hybrid of Darkness and Lilith is created, named Light. Light is genetically altered to reach physical maturity faster and to be a living weapon. Light's mental capacity is that of a child and is wild and unpredictable.

Seafoam finds the home of the Splat Crew. Teal's overly friendly nature prevents her from leaving. Seafoam is captured by Darkness and Dusk. Control from the goggles is purged from Seafoam and she defects.

Marie leaves to visit her parents. Captn Cuttlefish drops out of communication. Sol goes to investigate. Light discovers the Agents hideout, destroys everything, rescues Octavio and captures Callie. Elites Neo and Navi, not knowing about Seafoams defection, informs her of Octavios return. The Great Zapfish goes missing again. Agent 3 is no where to be found.

War is about to begin...

Radio Silence:

Sol enters the Underground to investigate a long dormant location gaining power again. In an unexpected encounter, Sol teams up with Labrys to explore the area. Labrys being who she is, can't help but flirt with Sol. After finding a place to rest Labrys eventually convinces Sol to sleep with her. Shortly after a crash is heard and an rusty broken down Octopod is discovered.

Labrys is able to recover the Octopods memories and watch them. She discovers that they are not alone. What appears to be Octarians can be seen on the video feed, however something is wrong with them. And most frightening of all, what appears to be a green glowing Octoling...

Unable to call for help, the two decide to return to the surface. However their escape is cut off but horribly mutated Octarians. Unable to fight their way through they two are forced to head deeper into the Underground. The two begin to grow closer.

Using the damaged octopod, which they nicknamed Rusty, they scout the area until they lose contact with Rusty. Upon finding Rusty, a large group of mutant begins running toward them. However the mutants ignore them and run past as it frightened by something. Sol and Labrys soon learn of what they are afraid. A green glowing mutant octoling. The mutant is blind and speaks slowly and harshly. Staying quiet, Sol and Labrys allow her to pass but not before she says the words "Lum-ia".

Finding an underground residential area, Labrys begins to have a break down and explains that she feels guilty about leaving them all behind. Sol comforts her which eventually leads to them sleeping together again. Shortly after, they encounter Lumia again while she is sitting on a Power Pedestal. With the explanation of why this area is receiving power again answered, Labrys tries to speak with Lumia. Lumia upon hearing Labrys's name attempts to kill her. Her attack however causes the Abyss to collapse and bury her.

Finding a nearby terminal Labrys learns the truth about her origin and is shocked to learn that Octavio is her father. An explosion separate her and Sol. Lilith and her troops have arrived in the Abyss. Labrys is captured and informs Lilith of the truth. Lilith fires a sonic wave that sends Labrys off a cliff. Believe Labrys to be dead, Lilith destroys the information. Lumia bursts from the rubble and attacks Lilith. Lilith overpowers Lumia and captures her.

Labrys having survived her fall, is injured. Making her way through the sewers she eventually finds her way to the Splat Crews home looking for Lavanna. Sol is nowhere to be found.

Lumia Chronicles: (Present day scenes)

Lumia is taken to Lilith's hideout to await what ever use Lilith has for her. Lumia struggles with her memories, reliving her past and remembering who she is. Eventually Lilith returns and informs her that her time to serve Octavio has come again...

Civil War:

An alternate take on the events of Splatoon 2. Agent 4 and Marie are not the main focus of this story, however they do make appearances.

The Octoling Invasion has begun. Octvaio, Lilith and the recently mind controlled Callie attack the city. Octarian forces flood the streets. Liliths insanity overloads and becomes severely worse. Lumia and Light are unleashed onto the streets.

Labrys meets up with the rest of the group, informs them of what happened in the Abyss and joins them. Marie returns with the fake Squid Sisters. Darkness has had enough and leaves to fight. As the others leave to assist her Marie is left behind with Oranges younger sister Kat.

Fighting in the street intensifies. Darkness and Light fight. Lilith interferes attempting to kill Darkness. Light becomes enraged and goes rogue. Darkness attacks Lilith but Labrys intervenes. Labrys is severely injured and loses her right arm. Light begins killing her own troops. An elite trooper escapes Light by entering the sewers while leaving her gear behind.

Lilith threatens Saffron. Saffron promises the return of Light. Dusk provides Labrys with a cybernetic arm. Dusk reveals the plan for a counter attack. The fake Squid Sisters, now known as the Cyber Sisters, join the group, now calling themselves the Resistance.

Velvet breaks through to Lilith and reveals that Octavio has replaced her with Callie. Lilith becomes enraged. Lilith begins plotting against Octavio.

The Resistance counter attacks using the Cyber Sisters singing to break the octoling forces out of their mind control. Kat returns, revealing herself to be Agent 4. The freed octolings defect to the Resistance. Light attacks the whole group. Darkness defend her new allies. Saffron appears and pacifies Light.

Agent 4 defeats Octavio. Lilith ignores Octavio's call for help. Lavanna surrenders herself to get close to Lilith. Lavanna acts as a distraction for the rest of the Resistance. Lavanna attempts to break Lilith out of her insanity but fails. Lavanna and Lilith duel. Lavanna destroys Lilith's glasses. Lilith enters withdrawal and falls deeper into her insanity. Lavanna is saved at the last moment by Darkness.

The Resistance discover Lumia being used as a power source for a new weapon. The weapon goes out of control. Labrys and Velvet fight. The weapon goes haywire and begins destroying everything. Labrys destroys Velvet's glasses and breaks her mind control. Labrys is able to disable the weapon and save Lumia.

Lilith chases down Lavanna and Darkness. Lilith has completely lost control of herself. Lilith and Darkness duel. The Resistance arrives but are told not to interfere. Darkness defeats Lilith. Lilith breaks down and Darkness faints. Darkness speaks wither her former self in the Void and is allowed to return.

While returning to the city a large sound wave sweeps the group. Upon investigating, a large amount of helicopters and a sunken statue is seen over the ocean. Sol returns, battle damaged and with new friends, Off the Hook and Agent 8.

Eight Below

An altered take on the events of the Octo Expansion. This story runs parallel to Civil War.

After escaping from Light, an elite octoling girl becomes trapped within the sewers. She is attacked from behind by Agent 3 and it swept away by the sewer current. After reliving old memories, she awakens to the sight of Captn Cuttlefish who is hostile to her at first but quickly realizes that they need to work together to find a way out.

The two begin working their way through what appears to be an abandoned subway station. The girl and Cuttlefish are momentarily separated. The girl feels as if she is being watched and begins to panic. After meeting back up with Cuttlefish they continue through the station. The two are forced to separate again, however Cuttlefish provides the girl with an earpiece to allow for communication.

Eventually making their way to the Deepsea Metro's Central Hub, the two discover a robotic phone with declares the girl the 10,008th test subject. Cuttlefish decised to shorten that to 8. Having no other choice 8 and Cuttlefish board the Deepsea Metro to partake in the tests. 8 is attacked by green skinned Octolings. Cuttlefish becomes confused about why octoling would attack another octoling.

Cuttlefish and 8 come into contact with Pearl and Marina over the radio. Pearl and Marina being providing support. 8 continues the tests and meets Iso Padre . 8 become exhausted and annoyed. Marina finds an unmarked station and 8 travels to it. 8 is "attacked" by a green skinned octoling. As 8 is about to kill the green girl she notices her acting differently then the others. 8 takes mercy on her and decides to take her with her.

Another girl like the first appears on the Deepsea Metro. Iso Padre tells them her name is Dedf1sh. Marina analyzes the girl and concludes that she shouldn't be alive and is basically a zombie. Further analyzing reveals her number is 10,007. 8 decides to call her 7. 8 continues to make progress in the Deepsea Metro and obtains the first Thang. 7 becomes strangely protective of 8.

8 continues through the Deepsea Metro and eventually collects all the Thangs. The phone tries to blend 8 and Cuttlefish with the Thangs. Agent 3 appears and rescues them but knocks himself out in the process. 8 begins the escape but promises to return for 7. 7 regains heartbeats for a few moments before returning to normal.

8 makes her way up and fights to the top. She is then ambushed by Agent 3 who has become possessed by the phone. 8 and 3 fight. 8 is able to defeat 3 and remove the phones influence over him. 3 is once again rendered unconscious. 8, Cuttlefish and 3 make it to the surface and are rescued by Pearl and Marina.

NILS rises from the depths. The phone returns and explains it is called Commander Tartar and that it's goal is to wipe out all current sentient life in order to begin the cycle again. With the help of Pearl and Marina, 8 battles with NILS and is able to stop Tartar's plans. Pearl defeats NILS permanently and Tartar is seemingly destroyed. 8 and the others return to Inkopolis.

War Aftermath

After the Octo Invasion and the NILS Incident, things calmed and life began to return to normal.

8 returns to the Deepsea Metro and reunites with 7 and Dedf1sh. 8 defeats inner Agent 3 and earn the Golden Toothpick. 8 remebers her name, Dawn. Dawn returns to the surface with 7 and Dedf1sh.

Labrys tells Sol she is pregnant and moves in with him. Lilith continues to battle her inner demons. Lavanna forgives Lilith and calms her. Labrys and Velvet make up. Labrys forgives Lilith and helps her recover. Lilith's sanity returns, however there is still permanent damage. Labrys informs Sol of his popularity among the octoling girls.

Saffron begins rehabilitated Light. Saffron is able to reduce Lumia's radiation to a non-dangerous level. Labrys and Sol take in Lumia and assist her with reentering society. Eve notices Labrys with Agent 3 and keeps her distance. After concluding that Labrys is in no danger Eve finally reunites with her sister.

Research on the zombified octolings begins. They begin being referred to as the Sanitized. Sanitized goo begins being collected. Saffron begins experiments.

Darkness beings questioning her existence but is reassured by Coral.

The Crew meets Devina and Siren. Devina recognizes Ivory as the rebirth of her old rival Cold Heart. Devina and Siren take notice of Labrys.

More research into the Sanitized reveal the true names of 7 and Dedf1sh as Venus Eros and Mizuta Ahato. Saffron begins experiments in creating synthetic lifeforms.

Labrys convinces Sol to get Lilith pregnant. Labrys gives birth to Sola. Labrys entices Orange to get Lavanna pregnant. Labrys takes Lilith to visit Octavio. Lilith berates Octavio. Labrys introduces Octavio to Sola. Lilith taunts Octavio with the news that she is pregnant with Agent 3 second child.

Lumia wants her own child but is physically unable to. Labrys asks Saffron for help. Saffron splices one of Labrys' eggs with Lumia's DNA. Labrys convinces Sol to get Lumia pregnant.

Labrys befriends Devina and Kelyn and discovers they are demons. Labrys volunteers to become a succubus and work for Kelyn. Eve discovers Labrys has become a demon and visits Kelyn. Kelyn informs her that it was Labrys' choice. Eve begins to believe that demon and mortal can coexist.

Eve, with some difficulty, is able to arrange a meeting between the Hunters and Black Rose. A deal is struct, allowing demons to freely exist in the mortal world providing the Hunters keep them in line.

Labrys convinces Sol to get Saffron pregnant. Sol draws the line and says no more.

Collection of the Sanitized goo increases. Saffron begins experimenting with super charged good in an attempt to create synthetic life. Upon failing, Saffron refines the process and includes a cybernetic base. Using the database from Rusty the Octopod, Saffron succesfully creates the first Synth. Cyber Callie falls in love with Rusty.

Lilith gives birth to Lilim. Lumia gives birth to an octoling boy and names him after her former lover Char. Lavanna gives birth to Lana. Green announces that she is also pregnant.

Underlings: (Ongoing)

Underlings is not so much a story comic but more a comic about life in the Underworld. The events of the story have so far not effected that of the main story line.

In an unspecified period of time, a Banshee is spawned within the Void. This banshee is given the name Karma by Charon and taken to the Underworld. Karma is found and befriended by the Nightstalker Ashlin and is taken in by Ashlin's mistress, a Mothman name Luna. Karma, desperatly begins searching for clues about her past life but is ultimately unsuccessful.

Eventually Karma discovers that she is far more powerful then she thought and fears she may hurt someone. Karma begins taking in her own underlings and desplaying a kind and motherly personality.

Shorty after the events of Eve Chonicles, Mercer is taken in by the angels. Unhappy with the fate of his friend Alix, Mercer Falls and enters the Underworld in search of who she has become. He learns that Karma is Alix's reincarnation and seeks her out.

Between War Aftermath and the Future:

(Several things will be left out as they either haven't been shown yet or are not important to the timeline)

Labrys begins working for Kelyn. Kelyn and Labrys become good friends. Kelyn regularly visits Labrys at home and joins her and Sol in bed occasionally. Labrys continues with her modeling career and convinces Lumia to join her.

The truth about demons is revealed to the world and surprisingly most are ok with it. Eve falls in love with a dragon named Glycon. Teal volunteers to become a succubus like her mother.

The Octoling Exodus brings hundreds of octolings to the surface. The octolings join inkling society. More demons begin living in the mortal world. Societal changes begin to appear. Society becomes more open minded leading to even more same sex couples and open relationships.

Eventually, Sol builds up too much demon energy from Labrys and Kelyn and goes critical. In an attempt to save his life, Labrys and Kelyn convert him into a demon. Sol by this is not even angry and accepts his new form.

Eve becomes pregnant with Glycons child. Eve gives birth to Glave.

Eve eventually is named Hunter Grandmaster.

More and more synths are created leading to new laws in regard to their status.

Labrys, Sol, Lumia and Char move to a new home, leaving the old home to Sola and Lilim.

Glave frees Executioners daughter from her crystal. She introduces herself as Uni and falls in love with Glave after he rescues her.

Next Gen: (Ongoing)

20 or so years a glitch in a synth factories system creates a rogue synth with a god complex and unexplained super strength. This synth takes the name Glitch and sets out to take control of everything.

Glitches creation accidentally causes the creation of another Synth with the designation M1-RA. M1-RA escapes and is rescued from a group of thugs known as the Gammaglobs by Lilim. Lilim takes the synth home and gives her the name Mira.

Glitch takes control of the Gammaglobs. Mira becomes fascinated with music and idols, wishing to become one herself. Mira is mistaken for an idol named Mika. Mira meets Mika in her dressing room and discovers that they are the same model. Mika begins referring to Mira as her sister.

Glitch kills a abusive synth owner in front of a dark green haired octoling Synth with the designation EM-RD. The Hunters begin to get involved with the search for Glitch. EM-RD is moved to another persons care. Eve assigns Silvia and Black to search for and capture Glitch

Glitch leads an attack in the city almost killing Lilim. Mira displays the ability of super speed and saves Lilim's life. Glitch takes notice of Mira. Mira begins to be seen by the public as a hero. Glitch become obsessed with Mira. Glitch begins recruiting new members. Tetra and Sockeye join her.

Mika invites Mira to join her as an idol. Mika announces Mira is joining her. EM-RD see's the announcement, as does Glitch. Glitch begins a riot in the city. Silvia and Black attempt to capture Glitch but are stopped when the crowd becomes too heavy.

Mika and Mira's concert begins. Glitch attempts to ambush Mira but is stopped by the presents of Silvia and Black. The concert goes well and Mira is officially an idol. Mira and her friends celebrate backstage. Sola leaves early.

Sola is kidnapped by Glich and Tetra. Lilim becomes enraged and attacks Glitches hideout with the Disk Scratcher. Labrys rescues Sola and calms Lilim. EM-RD visits Lilim and Sola's home and reveals she was given the name Emerald. Emerald becomes friends with Mira.

Glitch begins working on a new plan to gain more support...

Nightstalker:

Also known as Sleep Paralysis Demons or Boogy Men. Nightstalkers are dark skinned nocturnal demons that blend effortlessly with darkness, making them near impossible to see in dark spaces. They pray on the sleeping as they make easy targets. Nightstalkers psychically feed on fear and stronger Nightstalkers can even induce paralysis and hallucinations. While they don't usually physically harm their victim, they can cause mental trauma for those they visit.

Succubus:

A female demon who feeds off the sexual energy and material of mortals. Succubi are a female exclusive species with the male equivalent being the Incubus. Succubi are capable of using charm magic to calm and/or hypnotize their victims into submission. Succubi drain the life force of their victims through sexual actions which can leave the victims in a severely weakened state or even kill them if enough if drained. The succubus then uses said energy to sustain themselves and recharge their mana. The Succubus is able to use their charm magic to take the form that their victim finds the most desirable. When threatened, the succubus is able to fight with long stiletto-like claws and other types of magic. When consumed, the milk of a succubus is able to heal wounds and cure fatigue, making it a very desirable ingredient for alchemists.

Mothmen:

An insect-like demon with the physical traits and body parts of a moth. Mothmen are often seen before disasters which has caused many to believe that they are the cause of said disaster. However the opposite is true. Mothmen often have a 6th sense that allows them to know when something is about to happen. When they do, they often try to warn those who are going to be effected but their message is more often then not misinterpreted. Mothmen, much like regular moths, are highly attracted to bright lights and can become mesmerized by them.

Lich:

A former mortal mage who, through the use of necromancy, was able to cheat Death and retain their memories and physical appearance after death. Liches are powerful mages and almost exclusively use necromancy but are also known to use other forms of magic such as fire and ice. Most liches are believed to be evil, however there are those who simply wish to be left alone in order to continue the research they did in life or rarely are friendly and non-hostile.

Banshee:

A ghost type demon who in a previous life suffered some kind of tragedy or misfortune and suffers from depression. A banshee often wails and cries so loud it can be heard over very long distances. Mortals believe that a banshee's cry is a warning that someone is about to die. More powerful banshee's are able to kill with their screams.

Slime:

A slime is an amorphous blob of semi-liquid material. Most slimes are unintelligent and have only basic nervous functions like absorbing nutrients and multiplying. Intelligent slimes are capable of speech and shapeshifting, often mimicking normal people or objects in order to gain the trust of others. Slimes come in various different types like water, poison, fire, electric, etc.

True Demon:

The true natives of the Underworld. True Demons are not spawned, only birthed. It is believed that True Demons are the original inhabitants of the Underworld and evolved into their current forms alongside mortals. True Demons are often warriors and are naturally talented with bladed weapons.

Oni:

Oni are demons made when a soul splits in half to create two new life forms. Usually coming in red and blue, the two new individuals often have opposing personality traits but are not complete without the other. Red Oni's are usually rowdy and loud while Blue Oni's are more reserved and quiet.

Dryad:

A plant-like demon who usually takes a feminine appearance. Dryads are often seen as guardians of the more pure areas of forests. They are fiercely protective of their domains and rarely allow anyone to enter without violence. Giving tribute to a dryad pacifies them and allows a more friendly interaction. However this does not last forever and eventually the Dryad will grow tired of the interaction and force the individual to leave. Dryads can often take control of nearby plants and roots and use them for protection or for attacking.

Alarune:

Another type of plant demon who takes a feminine appearance. Alarunes often live in large plant pods and feed on the genetic material of males. They often lure in their pray with sweet smells, charming music and their alluring bodies. Alarunes will continue to feed on their pray until they die. The males they capture are entranced in a state of ecstasy and will willingly stay with them up until their deaths, usually through either starvation or exhaustion. If an Alarune genuinely cares for their pray, they will make sure they stay alive for as long as possible. Feeding them with the nectar they produce within their breasts. If the Alarune truly loves the one she has she will have him meld with her pod where they will be connected with each other forever.

Fae:

Another name for Fairies, Fae are often seen as mischievous pests who make deals with mortals who later come to regret what they ask for. Though some Fae are more helpful in nature, healing the wounds of those who have been hurt. Fae usually take the appearance of a small ball of light with insect-like wings. Though they are also able to take a more normal appearance resembling a mortal with oddly colored skin.

Witch:

Not to be confused with the female mortal mage also known as a Witch, the Witch is an undead type of Demon that uses deception to attack it's pray. The Witch appears to be a distressed female, crying loudly and seemingly upset. However when approached, it shows it's true nature. Witches have deadly sharp claws on each hand with which they will use to tear any who get to close apart. Witches do not actively attack their pray however and maintaining a distance between them will not aggravate her. Witches are sensitive to bright lights and enjoy the smell of sugar.

Vengeful Spirit:

A ghost type demon who in a previous life suffered some kind of tragedy or misfortune and now seeks revenge upon all who wronged them. A vengeful spirit will often take the form of their previous life as the anger and hatred they feel transcends from their previous life. Their powers can vary greatly and don't have any set abilities.

Revenant:

A dead body brought back to life to seek revenge on the one who wronged it. Revenants do not care who or what gets in their way and no longer remember who they used to be. Their anger will not ease until they get the vengeance they desperately want.

Lycanthrope:

A mortal suffering from the cursed disease known as Lycanthropy. Lycanthropy causes a monstrous transformation in it's host when under the influence of the full moon or when the barrier between worlds is weakened. When the transformation takes place, the host loses control of themselves and attacks anyone they see, including friends and family. In advanced cases the Lycanthrope is able to transform at will and maintain control over themself. However the Lycanthrope will always be at their strongest during a full moon. Lycanthropy is spread when a lycanthrope bites or injures a victim in a way that allows the disease to make contact with the victims blood. Lycanthropes are not technically demons as they are not created in the Underworld but they are still considered to be monsters.

Kin Demons:

Kin Demon refers to demons who take animalistic properties such as appearances and biological functions. An example of which would be Spiderkin, who appear physically normal albeit with with odd features such as unusual skin color, venomous bites, the ability to spin webs and crawling on vertical surfaces. Other types of Kin Demons include Frogkin, Snakekin as well as many others.

Fallen:

The Fallen are former angels that have been cast out of the World of Light. The Fallen continue to retain their memories and appearance from their former lives, however they take a much darker color palette and their halos also turn black. Fallen for whatever reason have been banished to the Underworld after commenting some kind of violation of the Angels laws. When this is done, they are reclassified as demons and are never allowed to return to the World of Light.

Elementals:

An Elemental is a being of pure energy such as fire, ice, water, Darkness, Light, etc. Pure Elementals appear as living energy in a humanoid form. They are incapable of speech but are intelligent and sentient. Other demons with Elemental powers outside of their normal abilities are also referred to as an Elemental. Elementals, regardless of their primary species, are immune to their own element.

I've been thinking about my old text only story Ace of Spades lately. There is a chance something will be happening with that soon but I was just thinking about all the things from that story made it into other stories. Here's all I can think of right now:

Synths: This is probably the biggest one. Synths all started in AoS. They look different now to what I originally imagined but they are essentially the same.

Synth Types: Synths all had specific purposes that they were designed for when created but could transcend that and become something else if they tried hard enough.

Super Synths: In AoS Super Synths were a new type of synth and very few even existed

Black Rose's name: I named Black Rose after a character that was going to appear in AoS but the story never got that far. She would've started out as an antagonist until she was convinced to switch sides

Emerald: There was a synth in AoS named Melody who had the same backstory that Emerald does in Next Gen. A synth who was abused by her owner and rescued from that by another synth. Only difference is that Melody was saved by Ace, a hero, while Emerald was saved by Glitch, a villain.

Cyberpunk dystopia: AoS is set in the Blood Empire, a dystopian nation filled with advanced technology like synths and cyborgs. Very similar to Next Gen.

A white haired assassin and a black haired sniper: In AoS there was a female antagonist with long white hair who would hunt Ace with katanas who was also assisted by her partner, a black haired male sniper with a cybernetic eye. This became Silvia and Ebon.

Synths are made from the DNA of important people: Just like in Next Gen, the Synths in AoS would've got their appearances from the DNA of the donors they came from with minor changes like hair and eye color.

A power hungry insane synth: In AoS there was a synth who went by the name Chaos. He was Ace's brother and was made specifically to torment Ace and drive him to violence. A lot of Glitch's personality came from him.

City Security: The City Security that appears in Next Gen is based off the guards with the same name in AoS

Mira's Super Speed: Mira's super speed in Next Gen was taken directly from Ace who was also capable of super speed.

Mira becoming an idol: In AoS there was going to be a point where Melody and Rose were going to become singers to try and spark a revolution.

Glitch's Name: There was going to be a young member of the resistance who would take the name Glitch. She was a genius and a very good hacker.

The Spark: Mira's Spark was directly influenced by AoS's Spark of Humanity.

I've noticed that a lot of others are doing gmod stuff like me but I've also noticed a few trends with them. I'm not naming any names but for the most part, the stuff I've seen is just ugly and looks horrible. (Not that I'm saying I'm the best cuz I don't think I am.) But some people I've seen have been doing it for a long time and there has been 0 improvement. So I'm gonna list some thing that might help to make you're stuff look better.

1: DO SOMETHING!!!

A lot of the time the images I see are just the characters standing there looking at each other with stiff legs and awkward arms, sometimes even just goofy looks on their faces. If the image is supposed to be telling a story then they need to be doing something. If you need help figuring out how a pose should look then act it out yourself in real life and try to imitate it as best you can.

2: No more Stand Tool!

The Stand Tool is a really useful tool when you want to design a character or move them from one spot to another without having to drag them with the physgun. But it's a horrible choice when it come to posing. It just looks awful. It make them look stiff and robotic. I used to use this myself when I first started. If you look at some of my oldest works you can just tell that's what was used. It's just not a good look. I use the physgun for posing now but I know some people have a hard time with that so maybe try out the Ragdoll Mover

3: Use better maps!

Maps like Construct and Flatgrass are just not good for scenes. They are too obvious and basic. They are fine for testing and designing but stories just don't work. There are a lot of good maps on the workshop that work much better for stories. If you don't have CS:S then I recommend getting it if you can for the textures if nothing else. So many good maps use them and I really suggest using maps that look like real places. The more details the better.

4: Lighting!

Lighting can make HUGE difference in how something looks. Some maps might be to bright or too dark. This can be fixed. I like to use my own lighting so that I can control how it looks. If a map seems too bright then there is a way to change that in-game. Go to the entities tab, click editors and spawn the fog editor. Change the color to black and the distance to 0. Then change the density to whatever looks best for the scene you want. As for light and shadow I HIGHLY recommend the Advanced Light Entities addon. I use them all the time and it makes things look so much better. Also if the maps bloom is too much, very often it can be fixed by going into the post processing tab turning bloom on (stay with me here) and turning the effect all the way down.

5: Don't go overboard with the face poser.

A lot of images have exaggerated faces. That's fine if that's what you're going for but it's hard to take that seriously. Most of the time when I see something like that I just shake my head an move on. It just looks bad and it's not good for more serious images.

6: Use more than one image/Edit your images

If you want to tell a story then most of the time you need to have more then one image to show whats happening. There are plenty of free editing software programs you can find with just google. I personally use GIMP to edit my comics. It's free and easy to use. All you have to do is change the canvas size (make the visible space bigger) and add the next image as a layer.

7: Google is your friend!

Sometimes just a simple google search can tell you whatever you need to know or show you exactly the thing you're looking for. There are so many good images and tools you can find with just google images. That's how I found most of the things I've used in the textures I've made.

Demon

Lost Spirit: Pure soul energy. No consciousness or intelligence. Only energy material ready to be re-materialized into a living being. They may or may not retain traits from their previous lives but will almost never retain any memories. Will sometimes seek shelter inside females to be reborn instead of waiting to spawn in the Void. Prey for Voidwalkers.

Lesser Demon: The most common type. Weak and easily defeatable. Usually used as underlings for stronger demons. They cannot enter the mortal world without help from a stronger demon or being summoned by a mortal.

Greater Demon: Stronger more powerful demons. They usually have powers that their lesser versions can't use. Sometimes takes lessers to be their underlings, usually as servants, trophies or playthings. Difficult to defeat and can enter the mortal world under their own power.

Lords: High level ancient demons. Extremely powerful and almost undefeatable. Their powers go beyond that of Greaters and can easily crush their opponents. Only known current lords are the 4 Horsemen.

Overlord/Dark Lord: The avatar of Darkness. Leader of the entire Underworld. All other demons fall under their control or are destroyed. God-like power. Controls everything under their domain.

Outliers

Elementals: Any demon type that has control over an element. Fire, ice, wind, etc. Elementals are considered more powerful then normal demon types as they have extra powers that the others don't.

Pure Elementals: Living elemental energy. They take a humanoid form and are conscious and intelligent. Usually nonverbal and extremely protective of their domain and/or master.

Voidwalkers: Only residence of the Void. Horrors even demons fear. Feed on Lost souls and those lost in the Void.

Angel

*Note: All angels retain their appearance and memories from their previous lives and are able to use light magic*

Soldier: The rank and file of the Angels. Most common type. Makes up the bulk of the Angels ranks and answer to all those higher ranked then them.

Guardian: Elite soldiers. Specialists and combat experts. Sometimes assigned to those who need protecting as a type of bodyguard.

White Knight: Commanders. Usually the ones giving orders to the lower ranked. Protectors of high ranked and important individuals.

Fallen: Angles of any rank that have met with disgrace and lost their ranks. Reclassified as demons and thrown out of the World of Light. Seen as betrayers. Usually losing their bright appearance and taking a much darker look. The halos of Fallen turn black.
